Kylie Minogue's lesbian dilemma

Kylie Minogue has considered becoming a lesbian. The Australian-born pop star jokingly claims she has thought about experimenting with her sexuality because there are no men in her life.

She also admits to having a crush on late, rumoured bisexual actress Tallulah Bankhead.

Kylie is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "I'd go gay for her. She was a fascinating and exotic woman. There was so much to admire about her.

"She lived life to the full, maybe a little too fully. I want to release the inner Tallulah in me. God knows I can't get a man - so maybe I should cross over."

American actress Bankhead had a critically lauded but tragic career, starring in films such as 'Devil and the Deep' and 'Tarnished Lady' in the early 30s.

She died aged 66 in 1968, surrounded by controversy over her sexual affairs and drug use.

Kylie's last publicised relationship was with French actor Olivier Martinez.

The couple broke up after four years together in February 2007.

Kylie has a strong gay following.

In a recent poll of 3,000 gay men by website gaygolddiggers.com, she was voted second in a list of gay icons, behind soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kylie's 'KylieX2008' tour will resume in November, taking in dates across South America and Australasia.

Kylie Minogue reveals her dark side as she steps out with brunette tresses

Kylie Minogue emerged from her London apartment today sporting darker locks and hair extensions, her sophisticated new look topped off with a stylish charcoal dress and dusty pink coat.

The change comes as Kylie prepares to take her X2008 tour to her native Australia later this year.

She told her Australian fans: 'It's been such a joy to take this show to so many countries that I've never been to before, but it's a real thrill to be bringing it home to Australia and to be able to share it with you all.'
She has also announced she will visit New Zealand and South America.

Although the star's string of concerts have been a triumph, Kylie admits her latest album wasn't quite as good as she'd hoped.

She says: 'In retrospect we could definitely have bettered it, I'll say that straight up. Given the time we had, it is what it is.

'[But] Wow, In My Arms and 2 Hearts are crackers. They go off like a frog in a sock.'

British tabloid the Sun reported that Kylie Minogue,almost cancelled the opening night of her world tour in Paris after being struck by a throat infection and technical problems.

The 39-year-old pop princess, who recently battled breast cancer, had been ill with a throat infection since late last week.

We reported that Minogue started her X2008 concert extravaganza in the world's romance capital on Tuesday night, but it seems only after overcoming a string of problems.

There were also technical problems with giant video panels and with using the massive stage floor as another screen.

"Considering Kylie couldn't sing on Friday and the problems with the stage on Monday night, it's a miracle the show happened at all," an unnamed source close to the singer told the paper.

The newspaper said some of Kylie's team were also concerned that the show, which cost £10 million ($25 million) to produce, is too long and that the star has not included enough of her chart hits.

Minogue performs 28 songs and makes at least seven costume changes in outfits designed by France's Jean Paul Gaultier. The show will go to Britain next month.

The dazzling centrepiece of the show came when Kylie appeared 30 foot above the stage draped over a giant silver skull.

While her ex-boyfriend OLIVIER MARTINEZ and Time Lord DAVID TENNANT watched on further scene changes occurred with the action suddenly switching to a grand Viennese ballroom.

A Kylie show is no mere concert, it’s an epic theatrical extravaganza.
