Nicole Kidman 'pregnant'

It was true. Nicole Kidman, former wife Tom Cruise, is pregnant.

Australian Hollywood star and Chanel spokeswoman Nicole Kidman is expecting a baby with her husband, the country singer Keith Urban.

Kidman adopted two children with former husband Tom Cruise but revealed last year she had had two miscarriages in their 10-year relationship.

The Oscar-winning Kidman, 40, married Urban in 2006 and recently finished filming Baz Luhrmann epic Australia.

Publicist Wendy Day said in a statement: "Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban confirmed today that they are expecting a baby. The couple are thrilled."

The next day they turned up in nearby Palm Desert, just 20 minutes out of Palm Springs, where they had cocktails and breakfast at the fashionable Daily Grill.

Britney Spears's new boyfriend - a Birmingham-born paparazzi photographer - has been touting around intimate pictures taken of them together in recent days with a staggering £500,000 price tag

The Los Angeles-based photo agency that Adnam Ghalib works for, Finalpixx, was yesterday trying to broker a deal with UK newspapers for use of pictures of Mr Ghalib and Miss Spears together.

The images were taken after Spears managed to check herself out of a secure unit at an LA hospital where she had been sensationally taken by police after taking her own children hostage in a custody row with her estranged husband Kevin Federline.

After checking out of the Cedars-Sinai hospital, she joined up with Mr Ghalib, who she has been on/off dating for a few weeks, and two other of his photographer friends and spent time at various safe-houses and hotels in Palm Springs, the Hollywood Hills and Santa Monica.

Pictures around yesterday showed them passionately embracing, walking hand in hand, and arm in arm down the street, and feeding food to one another.

It is not known whether Miss Spears is aware that her new companion is now trying to turn a quick profit on their relationship.

Dr. Phil sez Britney Spears needs 'psychological intervention'

Melted-down pop tart Britney Spears split from a Los Angeles psych ward Saturday after a surprise visit from celebrity shrink Dr. Phil.

The pop star patient left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. after an hourlong chat with Phil McGraw, who sources said was summoned to the hospital by Spears' desperate relatives.

"My meeting with Britney and some of her family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention. I am very concerned for her," McGraw said in a statement to "Entertainment Tonight."

Now Britney storms out of hospital after losing custody of her children

Britney Spears unhitched herself from an intravenous drip last night and stormed out of a psychiatric ward where she was being treated after her dramatic battle with her estranged husband over their children.

The hospital had the legal power to keep her until tomorrow to investigate her mental state after she was temporarily banned from seeing her two young sons.

But she was mysteriously released after she threw a tantrum.

Now it is feared the 26-year-old singer has damaged her chances of winning back access rights to her children, whom she lost following the latest extraordinary incident in her turbulent life.
