Heather Mills wants to move to USA despite being booed

Heather Mills
Heather Mills is keen to start a new life in Los Angeles - despite overwhelming evidence that America is not keen on her.

Heather, speaking after appearing as a judge at the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas, said: "In England, people don't like me.

"But I'm going to move to America, Los Angeles hopefully. I love England but everything that has happened makes me realise I'll be better off in the States."

Bizarrely, her comments came after she was booed and heckled by the Vegas crowd.

But she spent much of the after pageant party deep in conversation with Hollywood publicist Elliot Mintz, fuelling speculation that he is going to try to turn her image around in the States.

Mintz is famous for transforming Paris Hilton into a household name - and he is said to be keen to work with Heather, who was awarded a £24.3million divorce settlement from Sir Paul McCartney last month.

A source said: "Elliot thinks her bad reputation is nothing more than a challenge. He thinks Heather could become a big star.

"After Paris's stint in jail she was getting a lot of flak and now she's more in demand than ever. There are a lot of agents in LA who would represent Heather for nothing as they know her notoriety could end up being very profitable.

"Look at Fergie - when she left the UK she wasn't exactly popular with the Brits but America embraced her."

Heather has previously claimed Macca would never allow her to live in America with daughter Beatrice, four.
